1. About Cradlelight Care
Cradlelight Care provides in-home postpartum and newborn support services for families during the early postpartum period.
Services are non-medical in nature and do not include clinical assessments, medical procedures, or medical decision-making.
2. Scope of Services
Cradlelight Care provides non-emergency, supportive postpartum and newborn care. Services do not replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a physician, midwife, or other licensed healthcare provider.
No medical advice, clinical assessments, or medical interventions are provided. Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical care for themselves and their newborn when needed, including contacting emergency services in urgent situations.
3. Bookings & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm all bookings.
- All services must be booked in advance and are subject to availability
- Payment requirements, including deposits or full payment, will be communicated at the time of booking
- Services are not confirmed until payment requirements have been met
Cradlelight Care reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings if requested services fall outside the scope of care or if safety concerns are identified.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, same-day cancellations, or failure to be present for a scheduled visit (no-shows) will result in the full-service fee being charged.
- Deposits and prepaid services are non-refundable, except where Cradlelight Care cancels a scheduled service.
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Cradlelight Care understands that postpartum circumstances can change; however, time reserved for care cannot be reallocated on short notice. These policies are in place to ensure fairness and sustainability of services.
In the event that Cradlelight Care must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund for the affected portion of services.
5. Gift Cards
- Gift cards are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection laws.
- Gift cards are redeemable toward eligible Cradlelight Care services only and are subject to availability.
- Gift cards do not expire.
- Gift cards may be used toward one or multiple services until the balance is exhausted.
- Cradlelight Care is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Replacement may be considered at our discretion with proof of purchase.
- Gift cards are not transferable and may not be resold.
- Gift cards cannot be combined with promotions, discounts, or special offers unless explicitly stated.
- Gift card redemption does not guarantee availability for specific dates or timeframes.
- Gift cards are valid only for services within Cradlelight Care’s scope of practice and service area.
6. Client Responsibilities & Safety
Clients are responsible for ensuring a safe, respectful, and appropriate environment for in-home care. This includes:
- Providing a clean and safe space for newborn care
- Sharing accurate and relevant information regarding the newborn’s health, feeding needs, and routines
- Ensuring household conditions allow care to be provided safely and without interference.
- Pets must be secured away from the care environment during visits. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate cancellation of services, with no refund.
Unsafe ConditionsCradlelight Care reserves the right to
cancel or discontinue services immediately if, in the professional judgment of the care provider, the environment is deemed unsafe. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Unsafe sleep or care conditions
- Aggressive or uncontrolled pets
- Exposure to smoke, substances, or hazardous conditions
- Disrespectful or inappropriate behavior
If services are cancelled due to unsafe conditions,
no refund will be issued, as time and care availability were reserved.
7. Health & IllnessClients must disclose any known or suspected contagious illness within the household prior to a scheduled visit, including but not limited to fever, vomiting, diarrhea, COVID-19, influenza, RSV, or other infectious conditions.
Cradlelight Care reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel services if illness is present or suspected and deemed to pose a safety risk.
- If services are cancelled due to undisclosed illness, no refund will be issued
- If illness is disclosed in advance, rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Cradlelight Care, subject to availability
- Services may be declined if safety cannot be reasonably ensured
8. Professional BoundariesCradlelight Care provides professional, nurse-led postpartum and newborn support. Services do not include:
- Medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical interventions
- Emergency care
- Formal sleep training programs
- Ongoing childcare or nanny services
Care is provided within the agreed-upon scope and timeframe discussed at booking.
9. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to provide safe, attentive, and professional care, Cradlelight Care cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond reasonable control.
By booking services, clients acknowledge the inherent unpredictability of newborn care and agree to release Cradlelight Care from liability except in cases of gross negligence.
10. Privacy & ConfidentialityCradlelight Care is committed to respecting client privacy and handling personal information with care and discretion.
Personal information collected may include names, contact details, booking information, and relevant details required to safely provide services. This information is used solely for service delivery, communication, scheduling, billing, and administrative purposes.
Client information is not shared with third parties except where required to:
- Process payments or bookings through secure third-party platforms
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations
All reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Further details regarding data collection, use, and storage are outlined in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These TermsCradlelight Care reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions as needed. The most current version will be available on the website.
